In our FS2 classrooms, children move between carefully prepared learning areas designed to spark curiosity. These may include reading corners, sensory trays, construction spaces, writing tables, art zones and practical problem-solving activities.

Teachers guide learning through observation, open-ended questions and gentle support. Children are encouraged to think deeply, make connections and solve problems independently. This helps build confidence while strengthening cognitive and critical-thinking skills.

Literacy is developed through phonics, storytelling, writing invitations and rich vocabulary experiences. Mathematics is explored through counting games, shapes, puzzles and real-life problem-solving activities. Understanding the World is supported through science experiments, cultural celebrations and hands-on investigations.

Expressive Arts and Design is woven into daily learning through painting, music, movement, creative construction and sensory play. Children are given the freedom to explore their ideas and express themselves in meaningful ways.

Physical Development is supported both indoors and outdoors. Climbing equipment, fine motor activities and movement-based games help children strengthen coordination, balance and body awareness.
